Core (Maths and English)

We understand that a base knowledge and formal qualification in Maths and English can open many doors. We work with our young people to develop their Maths and English skills so that they are empowered to find their own pathway.

What’s at the core?

We are dedicated to providing high-quality educational services that foster a deep understanding and love for learning. Our core tuition sessions are uniquely designed around thematic learning, a dynamic and holistic approach that underpins our entire service.

Thematic learning integrates various subjects around central themes, making education more engaging and relevant for students. This approach not only enhances critical thinking and problem-solving skills but also ensures that learning is interconnected and meaningful. By exploring themes that resonate with young people’s interests and real-world issues, we create an immersive educational experience that encourages curiosity and lifelong learning.

Through our thematic learning methodology, students are empowered to make connections across different disciplines, apply their knowledge in practical contexts, and develop a comprehensive understanding of the world around them. At Keane Futures, we believe that this innovative approach not only meets educational standards but exceeds them, preparing students for academic success and beyond.

Whilst following this methodology we help young people accomplish formalised qualifications through the AQA Unit Award scheme, Functional Skills with NCFE or they can explore poetry, creative writing and literature through their Arts Award.

Qualifications

The Arts Award qualifications are designed to inspire learners to grow their arts and leadership talents. Supporting and encouraging learners of all levels and abilities and from all backgrounds and cultures to engage and participate in the arts.

The Unit Award Scheme (UAS) is a unique way to record learner achievement. Its ‘can do’ approach is used to boost student confidence, engagement and motivation.

Northern Council for Further Education (NCFE) is an award scheme that allows our young people to attain their Functional Skills and other formalised, recognised, qualifications.
