Exploring the visual arts increases creativity and taps into new learning capabilities. The visual arts can be an amazing tool for working through social, emotional and mental health issues and as with all of our courses and subject matters we work holistically to bring many elements of learning together

What is visual art?

Visual arts are a form of creative art that is appreciated by sight this includes, but is not limited to:

  • Painting

  • Sculpture

  • Clay and pottery

  • Illustration and drawing

  • Printing

  • Crafts

  • Design

  • Photography

  • Film Making

Our staff is comprised of versatile artists and creative educators who facilitate our visual arts sessions with our young people and help them achieve AQA Unit Awards and their Arts Award qualification.

Qualifications

The Arts Award qualifications are designed to inspire learners to grow their arts and leadership talents. Supporting and encouraging learners of all levels and abilities and from all backgrounds and cultures to engage and participate in the arts.


The Unit Award Scheme (UAS) is a unique way to record learner achievement. Its ‘can do’ approach is used to boost student confidence, engagement and motivation.
